The Abstract Family Portraits Collection

Abstract family portraits offer a unique and modern approach to representing familial relationships, focusing on emotions, connections, and the essence of individuals rather than literal depictions. These portraits often blend colors, shapes, and forms in non-traditional ways to symbolize the dynamics and bonds within a family. The emphasis is on abstraction, where lines, colors, and textures evoke feelings, memories, or identities rather than realistic likenesses.

An abstract family portrait symbolizing Lebanon, painted with the colors of our flag 🇱🇧. In the embrace of family, I find the essence of home and country.Yet, with the war and destruction around us, our hearts grow heavy.

This piece reflects the pain of witnessing our homeland in destruction, where the love for our country is met always with the heartbreak of seeing it suffer.

May Lebanon find peace and unity once again.

Inspired by Marcel Khalife’s song
Asfour, this painting reflects the harsh reality of children who are the true victims of war. These abstract figures represent the countless children who bear the brunt of the world’s cruelty, suffering in silence. The birds in the painting symbolize hope and freedom-distant dreams that seem to fly beyond their reach.
Through this piece, I wanted to capture the resilience of these children, left behind by a world that refuses to see them.

I painted this when my younger sister had her first baby. I felt this enormous love when I saw him; I felt he was her extension. My emotions drove me to paint this abstract painting of her little loving family, with a soft background like the first rain, giving that happy feeling when you smell the wet ground. It’s like nature getting a fresh start after rain. In my painting, I wanted to capture the cozy love of my sister’s new family, like they’re cuddled up in that same warmth.

“A Mother”

That mix of pride and emptiness a mother feels when her children leave home, and the quiet search to find the rhythm of home again.
It speaks of that invisible bond between a mother and her children.
When they leave, they carry pieces of her heart with them, and home is never quite the same.
